The Independence Day was celebrated on the 6th March 2024 in Manso Amenfi at D/A school Park. The theme for the celebration was “OUR UNITY, OUR STRENGTH, OUR PURPOSE”.
The District Chief Executive Hon. Patrick Hockson Amponteng, the Coordinating Director Mr. Emmanuel Boateng, the Assistant director I for finance and administration Mr. Ambrose Sonful, the District Police Commander, Franklyn Kofi Selby, Nanaom of Manso Amenfi and the nearby communities, the members of the Clergy, the Chief Imam amongst others graced the occasion with their presence.
As part of the activities, there was march past, cultural display and choreography by some of the schools. The various schools in the District participated in the march past. Also the cadet in the various schools took part in the celebration.
Awards were given out to the best performing students in the WASSCE and BECE for both Male and female, also the performing schools participated in the march past were awarded for a set of jersey and football.
