The inauguration of the 3rd assembly of the Wassa Amenfi Central District Assembly was held on Wednesday, 14th February, 2024 at the District Assembly Hall, Manso Amenfi at exactly 10:00 am.

The District Chief Executive Nominee Hon. Alex Baidoo, the Coordinating Director Mr. Emmanuel Boateng, the Nananom of Manso Amenfi and The Minister of Local Government, Decentralization,

and Rural Development Representative Mr. Fred Kwasi Antwi-Boadu, Director of the Fisheries Commission, Magistrate of Wassa Amenfi West Municipal Assembly, Heads of Department/unit Heads and staff of Wassa Amenfi Central District Assembly honored the program with their presence.

The Minister of Local Government, Decentralization, and Rural Development Representative, performed the inauguration ceremony on behalf of His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Ghana.

In his speech, he charged the newly elected assembly members to serve with selflessness, devotion, accountability and also preserve peace in their communities especially during this election year.

His Lorship Augustine Fifi Domful, the magistrate of Wassa Amenfi West, who represented the Chief Justice, led the new assembly members to swear the official oath and oath of secrecy after which he congratulated them.

In all, 34 assembly members and government appointees were sworn in by the magistrate.

The District Coordinating Director of Wassa Amenfi Central District Assembly in his speech congratulated the assembly members for winning.

He also urged the new assembly members that their electorates will be looking up to them to improve their living condition such as health, education, and other infrastructure in the community.
